What You Should Know Before Attending College : by Teenage Girls

Don't set unrealistic goals for yourself when scheduling classes and work. If you're a night person, you will never succeed in attending early morning classes. Working around your own bodies schedule can help you to ultimately succeed.

When attending classes, bring a bottle of water with you. By carrying a water bottle, you can ensure you stay properly hydrated while on campus. This is crucial, especially if you have one class after another without any time to eat. If you drink water, you will be able to stay on top of your classes. Water fountains are usually available to keep your bottle full at all times.

Do not take a test without first preparing all the materials you are going to need. Not doing so can make you face a rather difficult disadvantage. The instructor does not always have extra supplies, so you must be sure to have everything you require.

Be sure to eat a healthy breakfast on test days. Even if you're short on time, grab a piece of fruit or a cup of yogurt. If you're stomach is rumbling while you're taking a test, you're going to be distracted. Low energy and a growling tummy can really affect your test performance, so make sure to eat well for focus and energy.

Try to fulfill no less than one general requirement class during the initial semester. Consider taking a dreaded class to get it over with, rather than have it hang over your head and dreading it. More than likely you will not want to still be a senior years from now, in a class of freshmen students.

Make sure that you do not let a balance lag on a credit card. This will help you avoid late fees and interest. In general, you should try and only use your credit card for emergencies. You are going to college to get an education, not a social life, so try to avoid the temptation of using your credit card for entertainment expenses. Financial difficulties can take your attention away from your studies.

Save a little money by getting your books bought right when your class is beginning. You may not even need some of the books. This is common in online classes. Sometimes, the analysis you find online or get from your teacher will suffice.

Take the bus to school. It might not take longer using the bus. You can end up saving yourself a ton of time because you won't need to hunt around for open parking spaces near the campus. You no longer have to pay for gasoline or parking passes. It's also a good way to be environmentally aware.

Your school's career office can help you find a job. Your college's job center can find you jobs before graduation and after graduation also.

Take notes in class. Writing down what you are listening to can help you to remember it. You will also be a step ahead when it comes time to study for an exam. Though you may know the material already, you should still make it a point to take notes.

It's easier to feel confident about college if you know what to expect. Click Here
